About me
I am glad you are here.
My name is Randle Brooks. Born and raised in Texas, I have transitioned to a fulfilling life in Colorado. When I am not working, you may find me cooking, baking sourdough creations, or attending a hot yoga class.
A little backstory: I was a licensed Speech Language Pathologist for several years before counseling. I have always loved working with people one-on-one, especially children. Life led me to Crested Butte, Colorado, where I discovered holistic healing practices that changed my life and allowed me to access my true passions. Using my knowledge of child development and attachment, paired with my holistic view of a person, I work with teens and college students who are ready to explore their identity and build an authentic life for themselves.
I help clients who are seeking to strengthen their connection to self and build confidence, self esteem, and resilience. I acknowledge the effects of trauma on the brain and body, including how it impacts the way we view ourselves and move through our world. My goal is to create a safe space for you to explore, get curious, and access your own inherent wisdom for healing.
My Approach
I am passionate about holistic living and the mind/body connection, personally and professionally. Actively practicing a variety of forms of yoga for 7 years has taught me about all that we hold in our bodies, including trauma and pain. I work with the body and mind together in my practice as a therapist. I believe you cannot work with one without the other.
In my integrative and trauma-informed therapy practice, I utilize a variety of methods and techniques. I am Level 1 trained in Essence Oriented Therapy (EOT), and this informs my work with clients. I also utilize other somatic (body-based) interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) interventions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, and person-centered therapy. I recognize the power of Polyvagal Theory and lifestyle changes to create a flexible and adaptable nervous system.
Population
I work with teens, college students, and emerging adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self esteem issues, self harm, and body image issues.
I work with Durango residents as well as anyone in the state of Colorado. I offer both in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. See my rates here.

I have seen tremendous growth and progress with clients. I deeply believe in the therapy process. With that said, it is not a magical cure, and a therapist is not a magical healer. Therapy takes a lot of effort, time, patience, and a dedication to showing up for yourself.
